For January honoree Glen Coles, helping residents just like helping family

Glen Coles, The Heritage at Brentwood’s first Employee of the Month of 2022, was born in Austin, Texas, where he spent his first 8 years. His family moved to Enterprise, Ala., which was home until making a move to Franklin.

After his 32-year career with Ford Motor Credit, Glenn worked for a local law firm until he joined The Heritage’s Community Life Services department’s transportation team in March 2019. He’s been chauffeuring Heritage residents all over Middle Tennessee ever since.

He and his wife, Denise, have two children, Matthew Coles and Katie Coles Rankin and two grandchildren, Palmer and Elowyn Coles.

The Heritage is a family affair for Glenn and his daughter Katie, who is Activities Director at Somerfield Health Center.

“I love to play golf and garden but most of all I enjoy spending time with my family,” he shares. “Working at The Heritage is not just a job to me; it’s helping people that have become like family.

“I enjoy trying to make their lives better or easier any way I can.”
