Senior living expert advises retirees to ‘invest in themselves’

BRENTWOOD, TN – When nationally renowned senior living expert Tripp Higgins talks about retirement priorities, he doesn’t start with senior living options and how much they cost. He talks about community.

“We do emphasize having a plan and what that entails,” Higgins said. “But money isn’t the most important factor. We advise people to invest in themselves.

“Money doesn’t keep you warm at night, but how you invest it back into yourself can offer the ability to enjoy, celebrate and explore life instead of getting lost in the minutiae of it,” Higgins said.

Higgins will present a free senior living and financial planning workshop at The Heritage at Brentwood on May 18. The 11:30 a.m. Lunch and Learn event is free but reservations are required.

With over 25 years in the senior living field, Higgins today is president of MyLifeSite, an online senior living resource providing community-specific profile reports and educational content to help consumers and those who advise them make better-informed decisions about senior living.

Its MoneyGauge™️ Calculator, available on TheHeritageLCS.com and senior living websites nationwide, offers consumers a preliminary assessment of lifetime affordability at a specific community, saving valuable time on the front-end for both parties.

“Tripp understands the senior living industry and the senior living consumer,” MyLifeSite founder and current advisor Brad Breeding said of his successor.

Higgins will present a clear view of the senior living options those contemplating retirement — and those already retired – have today. He will focus on how to research a senior living community in relation to your personal financial security and estate planning goals.

To register, call 615-507-2686 or visit TheHeritageLCS.com/events/ by 5 p.m. Monday, May 15. Area financial planners and wealth managers are also welcome to attend. The Heritage is located at 900 Heritage Way, Brentwood, just east of I-65 and the Concord Road exit.
