The Heritage Named Best Senior Living and Best Employer in New Poll

The Heritage at Brentwood has won bragging rights in Williamson Home Page’s inaugural Williamson’s Best reader poll. When results were announced Wednesday, March 24, The Heritage was named Williamson County’s Best Senior Living Community and Best Employer. Executive Chef Jonathan King was a finalist in the Best Chef category.

Executive Director Jon Tagatz noted the honor reflects the commitment to excellence that has been part of the LifeCare community’s credo since it opened in 2007. The longevity of its leadership team members is a key to its success. Tagatz, for example, has led the community since its conception.

“This recognition reflects the hard work and dedication of our staff in providing quality care, services and safety to our residents,” Director of Human Resources Carroll Bagwell shared. The Heritage employs over 250 full- and part-time employees in a wide range of roles.

In addition to its own employees, The Heritage has several strategic partnerships. Pinnacle Bank and Williamson Medical Group operate on-site for residents’ convenience.

Bagwell added that King’s selection as a finalist in the ‘Best Chef’ category is an honor for him and for The Heritage. In 2019, King was a finalist in Life Care Services’ national Chef of the Year competition. LCS, a national leader in senior living communities and development, manages the Heritage for its local ownership group.

Marketing Director Judy Good is thrilled with the honor but not surprised.

“With everything The Heritage offers, the Williamson’s Best honor is affirming, said Good, who joined the marketing team in 2010. “The Heritage offers the region’s best selection and variety of independent living options, exceptional amenities and the knowledge that once you move in, should you ever need short- or long-term healthcare, the best care is available right here on campus.

“We strive to be the best every day, but we never take recognitions like this for granted,” Good added.

Williamson Home Page (www.williamsonhomepage.com) is an online news site exclusively covering Williamson County. Founded in 2009, Home Page Media Group is now owned by FW Publishing, a Nashville media company that also publishes the Nashville Post, Nashville Scene and InFocus magazine.

The Heritage at Brentwood also received Top 3 recognition in the Tennessean’s 2021 Best of Music City and FranklinIs.com’s 2021 Sizzle Awards in their respective senior living categories.
