Active senior living community to feature 97 new apartments and a range of luxury amenities.
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (Oct. 19, 2017) – The Heritage at Brentwood, a Life Care Services ™ community, broke ground today on its largest expansion for the community. The expansion, titled Phase IV Redbud, will include five different structures featuring 97 new apartments and state-of-the-art amenities to accommodate The Heritage’s growing population. The construction costs for the expansion are estimated to total more than $50 million.
Led by LCS development, the Phase IV Redbud expansion includes new apartments, a dining room with a display kitchen, a 300-plus seat auditorium, a woodworking shop, an Assisted Living Residence, a medical clinic, and a HealthyLife Center complete with an indoor pool, an expanded fitness room, a group exercise suite, and a day spa with a massage room. HFR Design of Brentwood is the architectural firm for the expansion.
To celebrate this milestone, The Heritage hosted a ceremony featuring remarks from Nashville Developer John Cooper, majority owner of The Heritage and at-large member of the Metro Council, Executive Vice President at Life Care Services ™, Kent Larson, and current Heritage resident, Brenta Davis.
“We are excited to break ground on this new installment for our senior living community,” said Cooper. “Across the nation, senior living is in high demand, and this could not be truer here in Brentwood. With the expansion, we can now not only offer more housing options to future residents, but also a greater range of luxurious amenities to improve our residents’ quality of life.”
Jon Tagatz, Executive Director of The Heritage, welcomed the ceremony’s special guests – including: the resident who has lived at The Heritage for the most years, Helen Kennedy, who joined in 2007; the community’s Director of Human Resources and longest tenured employee, Terri Lea Bayless, who joined in 2006; and former Brentwood Mayor and current resident, Joe Reagan. The invocation was provided by The United Methodist Church Bishop and resident, Joe Pennel.
“Becoming a resident at The Heritage at Brentwood was the best decision I’ve ever made,” said Brenta Davis. “We truly are a community here with the freedom to interact as we please. We care for each other, but do not intrude. We are provided quality care from staff who are competent and caring professionals, and we always know that help is just a few steps away. I am confident that the new Redbud residents will feel the same.”
The expansion will open up in phases and is estimated to be completed in Spring 2019. Once the expansion is complete, The Heritage will feature 314 apartments and villas.
